Ken Kushner - Flying Free

Keneth Kushner quietly passed over to the other side on June 4, 2019 at the age of 77 in Revelstoke, BC. He had a debilitating, degenerative illness during the last few years.  Ken was born in Vernon, BC in May of 1942, and grew up in the close-knit Community of Oyama on the family's orchard. As a young man,  he obtained his pilot's licence and continued flying as long as he was able. Flying remained his life-long, passion. Ken moved to Trail, BC in 1965. He married Trudy Luscombe and began a family with daughters,  Heather and Kim. At that time, he began working as a conductor for the CPR. (Canadian Pacific Railroad) He continu ed his work for many years in Trail and later in Revelstoke until his Retirement in 2008.
